While playing around in the jungle, the Young Salam and his friend, Mehmood the sensitive and funny Elephant with Huge Ears, find Hudhud, a cute talking bird. Salam becomes friendly with Hudhud and decides to take care of the bird. One day, a crew of evil pirates attack Mehmood and kidnap Salam right out of his hand. This scares Mehmood a lot (unnecessarily) inspite of being a Big and Earful Elephant ! Salam assumes that Elephants are not wimpy but Mehmood is different ! Hudhud speeds away to inform Salam's parents, as the pirates leave on their ship to the land of the evil king Abraha .
